Some would say it was by divine intervention others may call it the universe redirecting me, but circumstances led me to teachers’ college at the end of high school where I pursued secondary mathematics education.

My journey to teacher education and development began over 15 years ago as a classroom teacher in rural Jamaica. My first two teaching years were the most difficult for three main reasons.
My vision for TeachEDX is to create a space where all teachers, regardless of their number of years in service, can collaborate to learn together, sharpen their skills and build each other. I want to us to work together to raise the profile of the profession by committing to retooling ourselves, not because we are incompetent, but in acknowledgment of the fact that regardless of how good we are, changes in the field and the various needs of our students require us to constantly evolve and keep abreast of new developments.
